Over the weekend, I joined CNN to cut through the noise and discuss how I’m working to hold Elon Musk and DOGE accountable.

I was asked to dissect Trump’s press conferences and speculate about his relationship with Musk, so here’s what I said: I don’t care about the dynamics of the bromance between Elon Musk and Donald Trump, and most people around here don’t care either.

What we care about is making sure our veterans have the care they deserve, farmers get the support they need, and seniors can retire with dignity and peace of mind. We don’t think an unelected billionaire should be able to tear that all away just to give himself another tax cut.

John, that’s why I’m fighting back. My bills would make what Musk is doing to endanger our personal information a federal crime, and demand DOGE retain and produce records for everything they do so we can restore every penny of taxpayer money they abuse.

This is more than cable news clickbait — it’s people’s lives — and I’m working every day to set things right.
