| Dear, Katie Porter was the first Democrat in a competitive district to support impeaching Trump. He's been targeting her for revenge ever since. She’s taken down his appointees at congressional hearings. She forced his CDC director to guarantee free coronavirus testing for all. She exposed the news that Trump sent crucial medical supplies overseas, leaving us unprepared for the virus in the United States.(1) Republicans are campaigning furiously to take back Katie Porter's Orange County district, where registered Republicans outnumber Democrats. Some of her best moments in Congress have come from her razor-sharp questioning of all manner of special-interest executives. Katie called out Wells Fargo CEO Tim Sloan for his lies about how the bank swindled millions of customers with fake accounts and unnecessary insurance (2); he was later ousted. Katie walked JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon through the monthly budget of a Chase teller, who earns $29,100 after taxes. “She’s short $567,” Katie said. “What would you suggest she do?” Dimon had no answer.(3) Katie’s dogged advocacy for her constituents means she’s not just the top target for the GOP this fall. Wall Street is sure to give millions to her Republican opponent in a district that was solidly red for 35 years -- until Katie won in 2018.
