John,

The Office of Gun Violence Prevention was a critical asset to our movement
to end gun violence and one that President Biden credited to March For Our
Lives. Because of our work, we helped communities across the country with
a first-ever hub for a federal response to mass shootings and gun
violence. It also played a key role in implementing the Bipartisan Safer
Communities Act — getting federal grant money to communities in need.

And in less than 24 hours? Trump dismantled it.

But this fight is not over,
John.

Thanks to Congressman Maxwell Frost, a bill has been introduced to
re-establish the Office of Gun Violence Prevention. The re-establishment
of this office would not only bring back accountability to the White
House, but would build on top of pre-existing structure. The Office will
be required to:

* Convene an Advisory Council of officials who have experience dealing
with gun violence — ranging from survivors to teachers to government
officials;
* Coordinate gun violence prevention efforts across federal agencies;
* Make policy recommendations;
* Educate the general public about federal laws, regulations, and
available grant programs;
* And, provide an annual report to Congress on gun violence in the
United States, including recommendations on policy initiatives to
reduce gun violence.

This new bill is designed to build a modern office to meet modern day
needs.

Look, John,
the Office of Gun Violence Prevention is
one part of a long fight to end gun violence. [ [link removed] ]We need all the resources

Your Personal Invite To the Movement Fund 💌💙

At March For Our Lives, we call our monthly supporter program The
Movement Fund.

Why are monthly recurring donors so important? The amount of one-time
individual donations we receive as an organization varies vastly from
month to month.

Without a steady stream of monthly donations coming in our door, it
would be impossible to accurately plan our budgets, create long-term
strategies to win a future free from gun violence, plan and execute
on-the-ground organizing efforts, recruit and train more gun safety
champions, and more.

[ [link removed] ]One of the best ways that you can help sustain our movement is by
becoming a recurring monthly donor. Can you sign up today?
