Friend,
Last week, I attended the Munich Security Conference in Germany, representing the U.S. Senate in my capacity as the co-chair of the bipartisan Senate NATO Observer Group. Following the conference, I traveled to Ukraine to speak with elected leaders, civilians, and the brave soldiers who are fighting Putin's illegal invasion.
The most profound moment of the trip was visiting Bucha and seeing the site of the Russian military's massacre of hundreds of innocent Ukrainian civilians. It was a reminder of the depravity of Putin, a cold-blooded killer and war criminal who we cannot trust.
I just spoke on the Senate floor sharing my thoughts on the visit to Ukraine and what needs to happen to end this war.
Sincerely,
