Let’s be clear: President Trump and Elon Musk are breaking the law. They don’t have the right to shut down agencies that were created by Congress or fire civil servants to replace them with loyalists.

Elon Musk’s unchecked access of our federal spending is a direct attack on our democracy. Democrats are using every tool at our disposal to fight back, one of them through the introduction of critical legislation like the Taxpayer Data Protection Act, which I’ve cosponsored.

The Taxpayer Data Protection Act would block Elon Musk and DOGE from having unfettered access to your data. This is only the start, but we’ll need to show overwhelming support.
