Trump’s unlawful spending freeze is still hurting Americans, despite three judges ordering it to stop. His actions are causing real and direct harm to families who rely on federally-funded programs to put food on the table, access healthcare, keep the heat on in the winter, and so much more.

But that was just part one of the saga.

Now, through a process called “budget reconciliation,” Republicans are trying to cut funding off permanently, going after life-saving programs like Medicaid and gutting popular Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) programs that lower energy costs, make transportation safer and healthier, and create good-paying jobs.
