Dear John,

I want to share some important updates on the reimposition of the travel ban and on U.S.-Iran diplomacy.

🚨 Trump’s Letter for Diplomacy

First, this morning President Trump said he has sent a direct appeal to Iran’s Supreme Leader to initiate nuclear talks, marking a potentially significant breakthrough after years of hostility. But the real question is: What is in the letter? Is this a genuine diplomatic effort or just more maximalist demands to sabotage any opening and keep us on the path to war?

We have been cautiously optimistic that Trump will uphold his pledge to prevent war and engage in diplomacy with Iran. However, his track record of maximum pressure policies—championed in his previous administration by war hawks like Mike Pompeo and John Bolton—only sabotaged diplomacy. If this new diplomatic effort is to succeed, Trump must ensure his administration’s actions match his words.

The path to a deal is still open, but it requires both the U.S. and Iran to negotiate in good faith.

🚨 Urgent Travel Ban Update

Some reports indicate that a new travel ban could be imposed as early as next Tuesday, March 12—earlier than the full 60-day deadline of March 21 for agencies to develop a list of “banned” nationalities. We strongly advise caution around this potential ban.

If you hold a valid U.S. visa, consider making plans to be within the United States before any announcement.
