John –
On Tuesday morning, many Americans were processing the massive increase in prices they would be facing from the tariffs Donald Trump had put in place against Canada and Mexico and worrying if they'd be able to afford to feed their families.
But House Republicans had a different priority: finding ways to avoid their constituents because they're afraid of answering for the extremist policies they enable.
Republicans think they can hide from the people – but there will be no hiding when votes are cast at the ballot box. Chip in to help Midwest Majority PAC maintain the pressure on vulnerable Republicans and flip the House in 2026.
Across the country, folks are concerned about the economy, fearful of unelected billionaire Elon Musk's attempted takeover of the federal government, and outraged by Congressional Republicans' plans to gut Medicaid and squeeze middle-class families – all to make a handful of other billionaires even wealthier.
People have been gathering in strong numbers at town halls – including in Midwestern states like Wisconsin and Missouri – to tell their representatives: do your job.
The Republican response has been to bury their heads in the sand, dismiss the town hall attendees as "paid actors," and now avoid town halls altogether to insulate themselves from criticism.
That's now how it's supposed to work in a democracy. Elected officials should never be afraid to meet with the people they represent. And if they're ashamed to, it might be a sign that they can't defend their extremist records.
But one thing's for sure: voters will remember those records come next year. And with your help, we can defeat the Republicans who've chosen to betray — and then hide from — their constituents.
If you're ready for the fight ahead, join us today.
Onward,
