VIDEO OF THE DAY: AOC drops hammer on Trump and the GOP
Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez put her Republican colleagues on blast for their cowardice and dereliction of duty, after a raft of contentious town halls prompted GOP leadership to instruct its caucus members to simply stop attending any further meetings with concerned constituents. Profiles in courage, y'all.

War heroes, military firsts, and infamous WWII bomber are among 26,000 images flagged for removal in Hegseth's stupid Pentagon DEI purge
Secretary of Defense and man who definitely has a nickname for his penis Pete Hegseth has begun removing tens of thousands of images and references from Pentagon databases that even tangentially might be considered part of the previous administration's very reasonable DEI initiatives. Basically, if it doesn't come up when you search "straight white super macho missionary man" it's on the chopping block. That includes — we are not making this up — pictures of the Enola Gay, the famed WWII bomber, because, well, ya know...

Elon Musk drops money bomb on critical state Supreme Court race
WisDems: There’s a must-win state Supreme Court election in Wisconsin on April 1st — and Elon Musk has dropped SIX MILLION dollars into attack ads in an attempt to steal back the court for Republicans and put anti-abortion extremist Brad Schimel into power. Wisconsin is one of the most important swing states in the country and the integrity of our future elections is at serious risk if the GOP retakes control of the state’s highest court. Will you make a donation to Wisconsin Democrats and help stop Elon from buying ANOTHER election with his dark money?

Trump's erratic tariff flip-flops are baffling businesses, threatening investment and economic growth
They're on! They're off! They're back on again! But slightly different this time! The MAGA cult leader's incredibly stupid trade war has been a chaotic mess from the start, but his rapid-fire flip-flopping on punitive tariffs targeting our North American allies and China is exacerbating the crisis and causing even more needless economic instability. "Trump is jerking around the entire continent of North America right now, it’s stupid and it has to stop," Democratic Rep. Don Beyer of Virginia said. "Today there are businesses that don't even know if the goods they trade in are subject to Trump’s tariffs. Everything Trump does on trade seems designed to maximize chaos and uncertainty."

Measles death in second state as US outbreak grows
A second person has died from a growing measles outbreak along the Texas-New Mexico border, officials said Thursday. The New Mexico adult was unvaccinated and tested positive for measles, but did not seek medical care before their death, according to local health department officials. The area is near Gaines County, Texas, where the outbreak is most concentrated. 169 cases in total have been reported from the two states, though officials have indicated that the real number is likely higher. The first measles fatality in the country since 2015 was reported last week on Feb. 26, following the death of an unvaccinated 6-year-old in Texas. In related news, Health and Human Services Sec. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been talking up the virtues of — checks notes — cod liver oil as a form of treatment for the highly communicable and deadly disease. There is, of course, a highly effective measles vaccine that has been in use for decades that prevents the disease in most cases, but, ya know, cod liver oil!

Democrats privately confront Trump speech disruptors
Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries' demands that Democrats sit meekly and do nothing during the MAGA cult leader's horrendous address to Congress were not obeyed, and now the individual members who heckled or otherwise disrupted the speech are getting a stern talking-to from leadership, for some reason. Roughly a dozen Democratic disruptors — including Reps. Melanie Stansbury, Jasmine Crockett, Maxwell Frost, and Maxine Dexter — were called into a "come to Jesus meeting" on Thursday where they were, according to a source, NOT being yelled but instead were being helped to "understand why their strategy is a bad idea." If Jeffries has any good ideas, we'd love to hear them, but our leader has been preoccupied for the last month on a tour to sell his children's book, "The ABCs of Democracy." Voters are understandably incredibly pissed off about what's going on in DC, and scolding members of Congress for taking a stand against the actual autocrat who the party has rightly been painting as a fascist authoritarian seems incredibly misguided.

Michigan Republican congressman would prefer it if people stopped calling his office
Seriously. Amidst a flood of concerned constituents descending on Republican town halls, US Rep. Bill Huizenga actually told a local news station that he would prefer it if people stopped calling his office. His job is literally spelled out in the title — United States representative — but, well, he's clearly had enough. Huizenga’s comments were published the same day GOP Rep. Richard Hudson, the chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, told Republican lawmakers to STOP holding town halls. Hudson reportedly said that the protests at town halls and district offices will "only get even worse." Here's an idea: try actually representing your constituents instead of rubber-stamping the MAGA cult leader's chaotic daily whims and greenlighting his destructive, grievance-fueled crusades. Folks, whatever you do, definitely do not contact Bill Huizenga's office and voice your concerns.
SpaceX’s latest Starship test flight ends with another explosion
Nearly two months after an explosion sent flaming debris raining down on the Turks and Caicos, SpaceX launched another mammoth Starship rocket on Thursday, but lost contact minutes into the test flight as the spacecraft came tumbling down and broke apart. This time, wreckage from the latest explosion was seen streaming from the skies over Florida. It was not immediately known whether the spacecraft’s self-destruct system had kicked in to blow it up, but the FAA was forced to ground several flights at multiple Florida airports because of the danger posed by the falling debris. Hmmm, sounds like SpaceX could use some oversight and perhaps a wholesale purge to root out all the failing. Maybe they should start at the top?
