Public pressure is working.
In response to a wave of backlash from their constituents over President
Trump’s chaos and corruption, House Republican leadership told their
members to stop holding in-person town halls.

And, I’ve got to tell you, it’s not breaking news that House Republicans
are cowards. We’ve seen time and time again that they are scared of Donald
Trump, and they are scared of the American people.
But what this directive from House Republican leadership shows is that we
— the public — are winning.
We are putting pressure on the House GOP because they are doing Donald
Trump and Vladimir Putin’s bidding, and they are standing idly by while
this administration breaks the law and violates the Constitution.
Now we have to double down and keep up the pressure — in Congress and
across the country. I’m committed to pushing back against Donald Trump and
Republicans in Congress as they line the pockets of their billionaire
