Hey John,
It’s the Beginning of CommuniTEA Week of Action! 🎉
This upcoming week, we’re uplifting the voices of Black women and girls in the fight against HIV disinformation and marginalization. Stay tuned as we release resources, stories, and actions led by our CommuniTEA cohort!
What is CommuniTEA?
CommuniTEA is an Advocates project dedicated to engaging Black women and girls in ending HIV stigma and disparities This group of change makers is working to reframe HIV prevention and care narratives, especially for Black women, and reduce stigma and isolation for both cis and trans women of color, and connect folks to essential support. Through advocacy, education, and storytelling, we are changing the conversation around HIV and ensuring that Black women’s experiences and needs are always prioritized.
Coming up on Monday:
Monday is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NWGHAAD)! We’ll be sharing informative posts, advocacy tools, and ways for you to take action to support HIV prevention, testing, and care!
Be on the lookout for toolkits, social media content, and ways to take action with us throughout the week. Together, we can shift the narrative and ensure that Black women and girls are centered in the fight for health justice.
Follow us on Instagram and Tiktok to keep up with our Week of Action!
In solidarity,
Dr. Daniella Thorne
