3...2...1... Lift Off!!!
Today, for the first time in history, a commercial company will be launching American astronauts into space.
For those of you who weren't here during the Shuttle days, Kennedy Space Center is just two hours to the east of us and if the clouds part, you should be able to see the launch with your naked eye. The launch of the SpaceX Crew Dragon was originally scheduled for Thursday, but will now take place at 3:22pm today to take two NASA astronauts to the International Space Station.
It's been almost 10 years since our last venture into space, and to say I'm excited would be an understatement (I am a nerd at heart).
Truth is, the expansion of America's spaceport here in Florida is vital to our state's economy as well as to our future in space. Private companies mining astroids, space tourism, and collecting clean renewable energy in space only scratches the surface of where we go from here.
It'll be my generation that defines this future which is why I need your help getting into the legislature. Frankly, we need new, young folks willing to approach the problems of tomorrow differently and put the politics of the past behind us.
We only have a couple days left until our final end of the month fundraising deadline before candidate qualifying so, if you can and want to help: AndrewLearned.com/Donate
Now, let's go light this candle!
