These included illegal drug possession, firearms trafficking, and alien smuggling. One case that stands out to me is that of Edwin Santiago Marquez Flores, a man who was caught smuggling AK-47-style rifles and $1,400 across the U.S.-Mexico border while also trafficking cocaine and transporting up to 1,000 illegal aliens into our state. This isn’t an isolated incident – this is what’s happening every day on our border. It’s a problem we’ve got to fix – NOW. I’ve been working hard to address these threats and put the safety of Arizonans first. I’ve already sponsored multiple bills to help change the landscape – bills that will tighten border security, strengthen law enforcement, and restore integrity to our electoral system. But this fight won’t be easy. There are forces out there who want to push a dangerous, open-border agenda that puts us all at risk. We can’t let that happen.
