Hi comrades,
As Grassroots Global Justice Alliance (GGJ) celebrates our 20th year, we face the dire threat of right-wing authoritarianism and attacks on our communities in the U.S.
In response to this moment, we are excited to invite you to join GGJ’s first webinar of the year, as some of our international allies share stories of their own resistance to repression and discuss how we can collectively resist and organize in this period.
This webinar will be a part of a series of conversations we are planning to showcase GGJ’s 20-year history and to highlight our international partners who fought for our movements in similar conditions.
Join us next Thursday, February 27 to learn from international movements that resisted right-wing authoritarianism.
This conversation will explore how communities worldwide have preserved themselves, their institutions, and their movements, and how we can apply these lessons to our organizing here in the U.S.
In Defense of Our Communities (webinar 1) Thursday, February 27, 2025 12:00 p.m. PT / 1:00 p.m. MT / 2:00 p.m. CT / 3:00 p.m. ET Zoom link provided upon RSVP
This first session will cover:
- Stories from international partners on resisting authoritarianism
- Strategies for preserving and defending communities and institutions
- A brief walkthrough of GGJ’s first campaign and Transformative Organizing School
- How you and your organization can stay informed and participate
We need your voice in this conversation as we align our strategies and build momentum. Will you join us? RSVP now.
Please share this invitation with others in your network who should be in this space. If you have any questions, reach out to me at [email protected].
Looking forward to building with you as we celebrate 20 years of GGJ and forge a new path together!
