I’m headed to the Senate floor to try and stop Republicans’ proposed budget resolution that will enact President Trump’s right-wing agenda.

The GOP’s #1 goal? Pass a budget that allows them to dramatically slash the federal government so they can pay for their $4.5 trillion tax cut for America's billionaires.

Republicans aren’t slashing the federal government to redeploy it for better means, they’re doing it to give their billionaire buddies a massive tax break. Listen, I have no problem with people being successful, but everybody in our country needs to pay their fair share. It’s appalling that Republicans want to cut services that folks need to survive just to give the richest Americans a tax cut.

All night, my Democratic colleagues and I will be on the floor exposing Republicans’ worst-laid schemes—because unfortunately, tax breaks for the wealthy are just the beginning.

Their budget bill also funds Trump’s mass deportations and his border wall.

This budget has one purpose: give the wealthiest Americans megatrillion dollar tax breaks and make the everyday American pay for it. It’s unacceptable.

I’m doing everything I can in Washington to stop this budget from passing and to protect Virginians and Americans from the GOP’s destruction. Will you pitch in anything you can ahead of our all night vote-a-rama?
