Dear Friend,

The future of our children's education in Kentucky is at a critical crossroads. President Trump is expected to sign an Executive Order directing Secretary of Education Linda McMahon to dismantle the U.S. Department of Education – a move that could have devastating consequences for Kentucky's students and communities.

As a former teacher, I've seen firsthand how federal funding supports our classrooms. Our state receives over $1 billion in federal education funds, with districts receiving an average of $2,000 per student. Districts with low-income households and children with disabilities receive even more. These funds are crucial for special education services and meal programs for thousands of Kentucky's most vulnerable students.

I’ve seen transformational change occur in those classrooms. I know what this funding means to our students’ future.

As Kentuckians, we've always stood up for public education because we understand its power to transform lives and strengthen our communities. These potential cuts threaten the very foundation of opportunity that our public schools provide to every child.

Your immediate contribution is critical to our fight to protect Kentucky's public education funding. Can I count on you to stand with Kentucky's students today with a donation of $25, $50, or whatever you’re able to give?

For Kentucky's Future,

Jacqueline Coleman

Lieutenant Governor

P.S. The threat to Kentucky's education funding is immediate. Your donation today helps us fight back.
