John, there are
1,415 days until Trump’s term ends, but who’s counting?
In 45 days (only 45?!) Trump has managed to completely overhaul our
government. It’s exhausting to keep track of.
Before we get into his actions over the past two months, [ [link removed] ]can you pitch
in $5 or $10 so we can fight back against his administration? Things are
getting scary and we need to do something about it.

On his first day alone, he signed 72 executive orders, more than any
president in history. Some were dumb, like renaming the Gulf of Mexico 🙄.
Others have us terrified about the state of our Constitution, like getting
rid of birthright citizenship.
On day 2, he came for Canada, Mexico, and…DEI. An order came out putting
all DEI staff on paid administrative leave. Yikes! DEI isn’t just some
buzzword, it helps ensure all perspectives are heard, protects against
discrimination, furthers equality, and helps us work toward a future where
we have well-rounded policies that protect all Americans.
On February 7th, he put out an executive order on the Second Amendment
late on a Friday night. It calls on the attorney general to “protect” the
second amendment by analyzing the Biden administration’s gun safety
policies. We’re really worried about this one,
John. We don’t know what AG
Bondi is planning, but we know she has a lot of power to destroy our
progress.
Towards the end of February, he continued his rampage against transgender
folks. From a ban on trans athletes in college sports (of which there are
10) to supporting a ban on civil rights protections for trans people in
Iowa. Trans rights are human rights, and we know that the trans community
is at a higher risk for gun violence than cisgender folks. The added hate
Trump is spewing will only make this risk higher.
There’s plenty we didn’t cover, but we could go on for ages about how bad
things are. 🤠 Everything Trump is doing sucks right now.
But there is a bright side, and it’s that we’re fighting back against
Trump’s administration. We’re standing up for our communities because
Trump and his NRA-backed cronies aren’t going to.

can’t do it without your support. Your donation could be the difference
between upholding lifesaving laws and this administration throwing them
out the window. So please, donate a few bucks for us to keep on fighting.

Your Personal Invite To the Movement Fund 💌💙
At March For Our Lives, we call our monthly supporter program The
Movement Fund.
Why are monthly recurring donors so important? The amount of one-time
individual donations we receive as an organization varies vastly from
month to month.
Without a steady stream of monthly donations coming in our door, it
would be impossible to accurately plan our budgets, create long-term
strategies to win a future free from gun violence, plan and execute
on-the-ground organizing efforts, recruit and train more gun safety
champions, and more.
[ [link removed] ]One of the best ways that you can help sustain our movement is by
becoming a recurring monthly donor. Can you sign up today?
