Musk wants to impeach judges who hold Donald Trump accountable to the rule
of law.
[ [link removed] ]A post on X from Elon Musk reading: 'The only way to restore rule of
the people in America is to impeach judges. No one is above the law,
including judges. That is what it took to fix El Salvador. Same applies to
America.'
We’ve seen multiple courts across the country doing their duty to protect
the American people and uphold the Constitution by blocking some of
Trump’s lawless executive orders – including his end to birthright
citizenship, a freeze on billions in federal funding, and a ban on
gender-affirming care for minors. Now, Elon Musk wants to go after them.
This is an outright assault on our judicial system. The MAGA
administration didn’t get its way, so now they want to remove principled
judges and replace them with MAGA loyalists who will allow Trump to do
whatever he wants.
But that’s not how democracy works. Courts were designed to play a vital
role in checking the power of the executive branch in situations exactly
like this. With Musk and Trump declaring war on the courts, we must work
to stop them.
