John, we saw exactly what we expected from Trump's speech Tuesday night.
He took a victory lap, calling his first 40+ days in office a “huge” success - despite the rampant chaos and havoc his administration continues to cause daily.
He doubled down on his illegal, unconstitutional efforts, alongside billionaire Elon Musk, to destabilize our government agencies and access our private information.
And, as predicted, he scapegoated immigrants and LGBTQ+ folks while laying the groundwork to mine our federal government, fire thousands of workers, create volatility with our nation’s allies, and sell off our public lands to the highest bidder.
Trump claimed his speech would be “big” and that he would “tell it like it is.” But nothing he said changes the fact that we cannot trust him or the dangerous MAGA agenda.
That’s why we are doubling down in our fight against Trumpism. We need to replace MAGA and all of the corrupt politicians with the next generation of progressive leadership.
