![]() John, In the last two years, my administration has brought Democrats and Republicans together to get stuff done and make a real difference in Pennsylvanians’ lives. And although there are still a heck of a lot of problems to solve, we’ve built a real, sturdy foundation to build upon. A foundation where every Pennsylvanian is afforded the freedom to chart their own course and the opportunity to succeed. Thanks to the progress we’ve made together, Pennsylvania is on the rise — and as Governor, I’m going to continue putting points on the board for every community across the Commonwealth.
Every day, I’m proud to fight for real results — results you can see with your own two eyes in your community and in your bank account. Just last year, we repaired more poor-condition bridges than any other state in the nation. We processed over 28 million permits in record time. We’ve invested record amounts in public education and targeted those dollars to the schools that need them most. And we’ve put $136 million back in the pockets of Pennsylvania families by making childcare more affordable. Don’t forget, John: We’ve accomplished all of this despite being one of just a few states in the nation with a divided legislature. In many other states, this situation would slow down progress. But here in Pennsylvania, we’ve avoided getting bogged down by partisan politics. By putting aside our partisan differences, we’ve delivered so much for the good people of Pennsylvania — but I’m hungry for even more. If we work together and stay true to our values, I know we can continue to get stuff done for our Commonwealth. Thanks for reading, Josh Shapiro |
