Nationwide, Democrats want their members of Congress to oppose Trump as
much as possible -- but our confidence in them is waning.(1)

State legislatures are our best defense against Donald Trump’s attacks on
our social programs, our schools, and our civil rights. So how is
California’s Legislature doing?

Some of our state representatives are putting everything on the line to
protect our progress and our rights -- and some are jumping on board his
agenda. And it’s not always easy to tell who is who.

No one knows better than Courage California how complicated it can be to
separate the campaign promises from the reality, because we've been
holding our legislators accountable for 10 years running with our annual
Courage Score. And we are just weeks away from publishing our 10th annual
edition.

Musk. We’ve set a $10,000 fundraising goal for our 10th anniversary so we
can put Courage Score in front of as many Californians as possible! Can we

It’s not easy to stand up to Donald Trump’s thuggery -- he’s threatened to
withhold wildfire relief funding, defund our state’s schools, and drown
California in lawsuits if the state doesn’t comply.(2)

Some of our lawmakers, like the authors of the bills that would protect
targeted communities and our federal funding, are up to the task. But some
are ready to throw their lot in with Trump’s administration in order to
keep power. We’re not letting either group go unnoticed!

Courage Score is a user-friendly comprehensive tool of how each of our
state representatives voted on key bills and the industries funding their
campaigns.

Is your legislator an All Star, consistently standing up for their
constituents? Or in the Hall of Shame, taking corporate lobby funds and
voting against the way their constituents have asked them to? You’ll find

Once we launch this year’s Courage Score, we need to run ads and work with
partner organizations to spread the word of how our legislators are
performing -- because every California voter should have the reciepts
about their representatives. That’s why we’ve set our $10,000 10th Courage
