Dan Goughnour is a police officer, school board member, union member, and father. He’s running in this special election to bring common sense to the table, build opportunities for families, and promote a safe and thriving community. If elected on March 25, Dan will fight for his constituents on critical issues, like strengthening public safety, supporting public schools, and reducing costs.
The outcome of Dan’s race couldn’t be more important, not just for the 35th district, but for our entire Commonwealth. To defend our Democratic majority in the State House, Dan must win his race.
Whichever party wins the special election will also win the majority. As Speaker of the PA State House, I’ve been proud to champion progressive legislation and stand in the gap to protect our Commonwealth from MAGA extremism.
But if Republicans win this special election, they’ll have control of both chambers of the General Assembly, bring our progress to a halt, and work to reverse the hard work State House Democrats have done since I became Speaker.
