Let’s talk about Donald Trump’s joint address.

We went in with low expectations—because, let’s be honest, we knew exactly what was coming. He was going to lie. He was going to ramble. He was going to brag about himself and blame everything on Joe Biden. And what do you know? He did all of that!

But one thing that was maybe a tiny bit surprising? Just how giddy congressional Republicans were to cheer him on. They practically never sat down! Constantly on their feet, clapping, hooting, and hollering for a man whose tariffs literally sent the stock market tumbling just hours earlier! Not only that, they even applauded as he vowed to overturn the CHIPS Act—a bipartisan bill they voted for!

It was pathetic.

But here’s some good news this morning: The Supreme Court blocked Trump’s attempt to defund USAID unilaterally.

This is why the courts matter so much, and right now, we are fighting like hell to stop Trump and Elon Musk from flipping the Wisconsin Supreme Court seat on April 1st. If we lose, they’ll have an open path to gut voting rights, sabotage democracy, and rubber-stamp whatever extremist nonsense Trump throws their way.
