More people need refuge than ever before. Ukrainian children fall asleep with the sounds of bombs overhead. Afghan women suffer at the hands of the Taliban, unable to speak or show their faces in public. Sudanese families flee civil war and famine.

Wherever basic human rights are denied, the refugee population grows. In 2024, that population reached 37.9 million.
