Roughly 94% of Maine's forest land is privately owned. Outdoor Partners support Maine's private landowners by preserving Maine's legacy of public access to private land for outdoor recreation. That includes wildlife watching, hiking, biking, four wheeling, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, trapping, and more! Your contribution is critical to keeping the opportunities of Maine's beautiful outdoors from being lost due to private land closures. Funds from the program help landowners by providing enhanced law enforcement to evaluate and provide solutions, signage from the landowner sign program to help manage access to their land, and promotional and educational programs designed to promote and maintain access.
