Progressive policies have driven up the cost of living in Connecticut. Our energy costs are the second highest in the nation, and we have the third highest property taxes. Despite this, the governor proposed a $3.2 billion spending increase in his budget—cutting vital programs for vulnerable citizens while failing to address rising energy costs.
 
President Trump has exposed government waste and corruption, from promoting LGBT rights in Serbia to supporting transgender surgeries in Guatemala. Similarly, here in Connecticut, corrupt Democrats waste taxpayer money on ideological goals instead of helping the people of our state.
 
At the Connecticut GOP, we will put people first—not radical ideology. We will fight for efficient governance, not wasteful spending.
