And before I give you my thoughts on the absolute falsehoods and hate he spewed, I need to ask you for a small contribution. Just like all the ones before it – and no doubt all the ones to come – Trump's address to Congress referenced countless false numbers, bragged about his continued whitewashing of our Government, and made far-off claims that have no truth to them.

Here's just a few of the outright lies that he spread the other night:

TRUMP’S LIE: DOGE has saved us billions of dollars in spending.
THE REALITY: He and his second-in-command, Elon Musk, have provided NO documentation showing contracts they've canceled. They've also laid off about 30,000 federal workers in the process.
TRUMP’S LIE: Under Trump's authority, House Republicans have passed a bill to save $880 million in the federal budget.
THE REALITY: These "savings" come at the expense of gutting Medicaid – which would leave millions of Americans without adequate healthcare.
TRUMP’S LIE: Tariffs will help our economy by bringing in trillions of dollars.
THE REALITY: Tariffs are paid by US importers. That means the burden of these tariffs will be put on working class Americans and will also make prices of our imported goods skyrocket.



Delaware sent me to the Senate to be a fighter for our state and the rest of the country.

So I refuse to sit idly by while Trump's army of extremists are stripping away Social Security, Medicaid, and any hint of diversity in this country. What they are doing is not okay and I'm going to fight it any way that I can.
