Did you know that illegals are being counted in the census?
The Federal census- which we in AZ also use to draw our own lines- counts illegals in their numbers. By (current) law, they are counted when drawing the congressional lines.
But that doesn't mean we have to count them when drawing the Arizona lines!
So, we in the AZ Senate are doing something about it. Much like how we went around the Governor's veto to secure the AZ border with the "Secure the Border Act", we are taking this issue to the people.
The people of Arizona can decide for themselves if they want illegals to be counted in the representation in the AZ Legislature!
We know Gov. Hobbs would have vetoed this.
Dem Governor Katie Hobbs LOVES illegals. They are her future voters. She wants them counted in representation.
We don't think the rest of Arizona agrees. We are putting it before voters- it's a key part of election integrity!
