Hi I’m Rachel Henry, Campaign Director for Comptroller Brooke Lierman. Every day, I see firsthand the work Brooke is doing to build a stronger, more equitable Maryland—but she can’t do it alone. Amid the chaos and uncertainty of the Trump Administration, it is easy to feel disheartened about the future. That’s why the Maryland Democratic Party is launching a critical Weekend of Action, statewide. Last week, I had the privilege of catching the end of a townhall hosted by the Queen Anne’s County Democrats, where Marylanders from both sides of the aisle expressed growing concern for what is going on in our federal government. Here is where Brooke and I will be this week- ➡ Today: I’ll be in Talbot County for a Walk for Democracy, standing alongside fellow Democrats to mobilize Marylanders and protect our freedoms - join me! ➡ Saturday: Brooke will join leaders in both Maryland and Congress to defend the National Institutes of Health headquarters to protest the Trump Administration's reckless attacks on the NIH. Let's stand in solidarity with NIH employees and the critical research they do to save lives - join Brooke in Bethesda! ➡ Saturday: I’ll be on the border of Baltimore City and Baltimore County with Democrats to rally near the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services for a sign wave where we will make our voices heard in opposition to the Republican gutting of our government services - join me in Baltimore! Can’t join us at any of these events? No problem! We have dozens of events statewide, from marches in Frederick, to town halls in Garrett County, and rallies in Cecil County!
