Team — With Elon Musk moving ahead with a radical, illegal takeover of the federal government and budget under Trump’s watch, it’s time for Democrats to use every tool we’ve got to stop their agenda.
Since we reached out last month about efforts to block Trump’s cabinet nominations, the movement has gained serious momentum.
Most of Trump’s nominees over the last weeks been confirmed on razor thin margins. Even some Republicans are joining the opposition to these unqualified and unfit nominees.
So with three more cabinet positions still to confirm, including the Secretary of Education, we have to keep up the pressure.
Our thinking is simple: If Trump is going to give unlimited power to an unelected billionaire so he can wreak havoc on the lives of working Americans, Democrats shouldn’t enable his adminsitration.
The remedy to this disastrous situation is for Congress to exercise its constitutional duty to put a check on this extreme abuse of power. That’s why we are calling on the Senate to stand up and fight back.
The time has come to do everything we can to oppose this descent into fascism.
