Some DOGE employees are earning six-figure taxpayer-funded salaries from the federal agencies they are shutting down
Oh, hey! Would you look at that? Phony Stark's cost-cutting government task force, DOGE, was supposedly set up to eliminate inefficiencies — but you will be SHOCKED to learn that some of his tech tykes are reportedly earning hefty six-figure salaries while slashing tens of thousands of federal jobs and throwing countless families into financial turmoil. Musk had initially claimed positions within DOGE would be "tedious work" where "compensation is zero," a laughable lie by one of the world's truly, laughably awful liars. They're looting the government while trying to burn it to the ground at the same time.

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Canada strikes back: Trudeau issues defiant rebuke of Trump and his stupid trade war
A visibly irritated Justin Trudeau laid bare precisely why Canadians are so angry and hurt by the MAGA cult leader's ridiculous new tariffs and eloquently warned Trump — and America — that they will not take the needless assault on their economy lying down.

Elon Musk drops money bomb on critical state Supreme Court race
WisDems: There’s a must-win state Supreme Court election in Wisconsin on April 1st — and Elon Musk just dropped half a million dollars into attack ads in an attempt to steal back the court for Republicans and put anti-abortion extremist Brad Schimel into power. Wisconsin is one of the most important swing states in the country and the integrity of our future elections is at serious risk if the GOP retakes control of the state’s highest court. Will you make a donation to Wisconsin Democrats and help stop Elon from buying ANOTHER election with his dark money?
Top Trump adviser claims Canada "taken over by Mexican cartels"
Top Trump trade adviser and ex-convict Peter Navarro, who served four months in prison last year for criminal contempt of Congress, has accused Canada of being "taken over by Mexican cartels" and not doing enough to stop the importation of deadly fentanyl. The outburst came after the administration agreed to grant the US auto sector a one-month exemption from the MAGA cult leader's 25% tariffs on Canadian and Mexican goods after the president came under pressure from the CEOs of America’s "Big Three" carmakers. Navarro also claimed Canada was somehow responsible for unreported American deaths caused by people taking fake Xanax. Got it.

Speaker Mike Johnson’s chief of staff Hayden Haynes arrested on DUI charge after Trump’s speech
Oopsy Haynes-y. It seems at least one Republican was having too much of a good time during Donald Trump's dystopian rage fest Tuesday night. House Speaker and ultra-conservative theocrat Mike Johnson's long-time aide and current chief of staff, Hayden Haynes, was arrested on a DUI charge following Trump’s address after backing into a parked car in the nation's capital just before midnight. For his part, Johnson is standing by his man, releasing a statement expressing his "full faith and confidence in Hayden’s ability to lead the Speaker’s office." Stand by for reports of one Trump judge or another sweeping this incident under the proverbial rug a few months down the line...

White House dodges questions on Elon Musk’s outfit choices amid disingenuous Zelenskyy attacks
It looks like a double standard because it is a double standard. Also, fun fact: when British Prime Minister Winston Churchill visited the White House during a little conflict called World War II, he too dressed in his ubiquitous war-time garb — a so-called one-piece "siren suit" — as a symbol of solidarity with the British Army and general public who were under relentless attack by Nazi Germany. Where are all the Churchill haters on the new American right? We'll give you a minute to get your outrage together.
The Washington Post looks to recruit right-wing journalists
The once mighty newspaper that helped expose Richard Nixon's complicity in Watergate and for decades reliably provided comprehensive coverage of all the goings on, both inside and outside the Beltway, is sadly becoming little more than a favor-currying pet project of America's second-most-famous space cowboy, mega-billionaire Jeff Bezos. Please, Jeff, tell us more about how democracy dies in the darkness.
Tim Walz silent for a few seconds when CNN anchor asks, "Who is the leader of the Democratic Party?"
To be fair to Gov. Walz, we can't really answer that question either, but it's no less problematic that the former vice presidential candidate couldn't rattle off at least a few names off the cuff. Walz eventually recovered, then said, "I think the voting public, right now, is what I would say. We’re not going to have a charismatic leader [jump] right in here and save us from this," adding that Democrats need to be "out there standing alongside" the people. Walz was fond of paraphrasing the late, great Warren Zevon on the campaign trail last year, telling voters during marathon days: "We'll sleep when we're dead." But he might do well to reference a slightly different song from the '70s: "It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll." We'll bury this sorry metaphor in a second, we promise, but one way or another we have GOT to get off this highway to hell.
GOP campaign account under fire for calling House Democrat an "illegal immigrant"
What's a little dehumanization and othering between colleagues, amirite? It's not like MAGA minions won't bother to find out what's true and what's a bald-faced lie and respond in kind. Oh, wait.
Panama president blasts "lying" Trump over his canal takeover plan
The president of Panama blasted his American counterpart Donald Trump on Wednesday for lying about US efforts to retake the Panama Canal. "Once again, President Trump is lying," José Raúl Mulino wrote in a social media post. "The Panama Canal is not in the process of recovery." During Trump's exhausting gripe-fest before Congress on Tuesday, the MAGA cult leader reiterated his disingenuous pledge to "take back" the canal and touted a deal by BlackRock — one of the most nefarious asset-management firms in the world — in which the US-based company, whose assets total more than $10 TRILLION, agreed to *acquire* two ports on the opposite sides of the 51-mile waterway, which connects the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The proposed acquisition is part of a larger ports deal worth $21.8 billion, and the transfer of the assets is pending regulatory approval. Trump had previously claimed, without offering any evidence of course, that the Hong Kong-based firm that currently owns the two ports is under the thumb of Beijing. Donald has also refused to rule out using military force as part of his own supposed plans to retake the canal itself, which became Panamanian territory after America handed it over in 1999. Mulino added: "The Canal is Panamanian and will continue to be Panamanian!"
