Manchester is a community whose residents know that when they work together, they can be a strong force for good. Our diversity makes us stronger, and we celebrate our different backgrounds at our many festivals, in our schools, and in our everyday lives. However, this past week our city had a visitor who doesn’t share the values that make our city strong.
Donald Trump, supported by our 2019 re-election opponent, brought his divisive and harmful rhetoric to the Queen City last Thursday. And although 2020 is already on everyone’s minds, we have New Hampshire’s biggest race right here in Manchester this year.
Our general election, in just 79 days, is an important opportunity to show that Trump and our opponent’s frightening stances and divisive tactics do not represent Manchester or our community.
