Recently, the Trump administration held its first cabinet meeting, and we found the images that emerged to be concerning.

First of all, the vast majority of the people in these images are white men. This isn’t just a symbolic point about the vast benefits of DEI or representation (though that point cannot be overstated). It’s a valid concern on behalf of anyone who isn’t a white man as these are the people making the decisions about our lives, our safety, and our futures.

Last week, we saw the way these men conducted themselves as they bullied and berated President Zelensky. It was a disturbing and illuminating display of toxic masculinity. It was also a cause for serious concern about the temperament of America’s leaders tasked with negotiating peace on the global stage. At Her Bold Move, we know that the world would be a better place if a more feminine approach to these issues was utilized.

And here’s the thing: according to international data collected from 1989-2011, when women are involved in peace agreements, peace is 35% more likely to last 15+ years. On the flipside, war disproportionately impacts women – often in radical and unimaginably dangerous ways.
