Mayor Adams Must Step Down

Image

Mayor Eric Adams’ indictment marks the first time in New York City’s history that a sitting mayor has faced criminal charges. In this statement, Brooklyn Young Democrats call for his immediate resignation, emphasizing the need for focused, accountable leadership that serves the people. Read the full statement for more on why we believe transparent governance is essential at this critical time for our city.

#DontRankCuomo

Just when we thought things weren't fun enough: Andrew Cuomo’s tenure was marred by cover-ups, abuses of power, and self-serving decisions that harmed countless New Yorkers. We’ve seen this show before and don’t need a cynical return to the spotlight—New York deserves better. Let’s stand firm in rejecting any attempt at a political comeback that puts personal ambition ahead of public service.

Going Green

At the State of the Union, Representative Al Green demonstrated what standing up to bullies looks like. Brooklyn Young Democrats' viral tweet praised his courage in refusing to back down to would-be dictators. Check out this powerful moment and join us in celebrating leaders who fight for accountability.
