John, Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and his entire administration are acting like they’re above the law!
They’ve TARGETED critical institutions like the National Institutes of Health, the Social Security Administration, Veterans Affairs and the Department of Education. Their budget, which just passed the House, SLASHES up to $880 billion from Medicaid to pay for tax cuts for Elon and his billionaire cronies. They’re even defying a court order and trying to illegally freeze TRILLIONS in already approved federal funding – shutting off Medicaid portals and leading to community health center closures.
And now: Donald Trump is trying to WITHHOLD federal funding from states that don’t comply with his demands!
It’s no wonder 57% of Americans think that Trump is OVERREACHING his authority as President.
Fortunately, Democratic governors are continuing to act as the last line of defense pushing back against Trump’s extreme actions – Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker even said that “We don’t have kings in America, and I don’t intend to bend the knee to one.”
