After Trump’s lunatic speech last night, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow asked Congressman Maxwell Frost why he walked out of Trump’s speech – and why he wore a t-shirt saying "NO KINGS LIVE HERE" when he did it.
Frost told her, "It's important for people to see that their leaders understand that this is not a normal moment. We're in the middle of a billionaire administrative takeover and coup of our country, where they want to cut Medicaid, cut Social Security, cut Medicare – cut all the things that we fought for and earned in order to give tax breaks to billionaires and corporations."
Maxwell Frost is one of the Democrats that showed how to fight last night.
Elissa Slotkin is another. In her Democratic response, she told Americans, “President Trump is trying to deliver an unprecedented giveaway to his billionaire friends. He's on the hunt to find trillions of dollars to pass along to the wealthiest in America, and to do that, he's going to make you pay…he could very well come after your retirement, the Social Security, Medicare and VA benefits you worked your whole life to earn.
In fact, DOZENS of Democrats brought the fight to Trump last night. Jamie Raskin, Jasmine Crockett, Dave Min, and dozens more walked out on Trump to protest his lies and destructive policies.
