Chair's Corner
------------------------------------------------------------
Aloha Republican Patriots,
Last night, we witnessed a powerful and defining moment as President Donald J. Trump addressed Congress, delivering a speech that was both inspiring and unapologetically American. He spoke with conviction about the progress our nation has made, the strength of our economy, the rebuilding of our military, and the unwavering commitment to securing our borders and protecting American sovereignty. He reminded us that America’s best days are ahead—not because of the government, but because of the hard work, determination, and spirit of the American people.
President Trump honored our heroes—those in uniform, both on the battlefield and at home, from our military service members to our law enforcement officers. He championed policies that uplift the working class, empower families, and give every child a chance at a brighter future through school choice. His speech was a call to action, a challenge to every American to believe in our country again, to reject the politics of division, and to embrace the promise of American greatness.
But instead of celebrating these unifying moments, the Democrats sat in defiance—unable to applaud even the most nonpartisan and uplifting moments. When President Trump announced that a young man had been accepted into his dream school, it was a moment that should have been universally celebrated. Yet, Democrats refused to acknowledge it, revealing their true intentions: they would rather reject success than give credit where it’s due.
This behavior reveals a troubling reality: today’s radical left would rather see America fail than allow President Trump to succeed. But we don't just see it there, I’ve noticed it in our party, sadly. There are those who claim to stand with us but work behind the scenes to sabotage, obstruct, and divide. Whether out of personal ambition or misguided alliances, they undermine the very movement that is fighting to restore our nation.
We must rise above it.
President Trump reminded us last night that America is built on strength, perseverance, and faith. And so is our movement. We are the party of the people, the party of freedom, the party of opportunity. We cannot allow internal discord to weaken our resolve. Instead, we must unite under the principles that brought us here, the Constitution, limited government, free markets, and the belief that America is worth fighting for.
Hawai'i may be deep blue, but we are not without hope. We are growing, we are organizing, and we are making our voices heard. The road ahead will not be easy, but we are not in this fight alone. With faith in God, commitment to our values, and an unwavering dedication to truth, we will prevail.
Let’s move forward with courage. Let’s stand behind President Trump and his vision for America. Let’s root out corruption, both within our government and within our own ranks, and build a Republican Party in Hawai'i that is strong, principled, and ready to win.
The American spirit is alive and well, and together, we will Make America Great Again!
With Aloha and Determination,
Tamara McKay
