We’ve got hotlines, guides, town halls, & more!
Friend,
Early voting for the primary election has begun! The first step is to fill
out your mail-in ballot, if you received it, which you can do with the
help of our [ [link removed] ]nonpartisan voter guide to see where the candidates stand
on issues you care about! Then, it’s time to mail it back or drop it
off. If you vote by mail, remember that your ballot must be postmarked by
June 9th in order to be counted! You don’t require postage or your own
envelope to send it in.
Early Voting & Drop off Locations
Until June 5th, you can either drop off your ballot at one of the
designated locations within your county or vote in-person at your county’s
election site(s). Click [ [link removed] ]here for Clark County drop-off and early vote
locations and [ [link removed] ]here for Washoe County. Don’t forget to SIGN the envelope
containing your ballot on the back! Your signature is how your ballot will
be verified and your vote counted.
Voter Registration
If you still haven’t registered to vote, you can still do so in-person at
your county’s elections department or designated vote center (links
above). You will have to vote in-person on a provisional ballot and you
will need your driver’s license, state ID, or interim document, and a
proof of residence if your current address is different from what’s listed
on your identification.
The Election Protection Hotline
With vote-by-mail being a new system and voter suppression being an ever
present reality, we have worked with the ACLU and Let Nevadans Vote to
create an Election Protection hotline for you to call to report any
problems registering or voting, and get your questions answered. The
number is:
* 866-687-8683 for English
* 888-839-8682 for Spanish
* 888-274-8683 for API languages
* 844-925-5287 for Arabic
Share these posts on [ [link removed] ]Facebook and [ [link removed] ]Twitter to get the word out and
prevent voter suppression this election!
Facebook Live Town Hall feat. Joe Gloria
Finally, for those of you in Clark County, we will be hosting an extra
special Facebook Live Town Hall chat next week with the Registrar of
Voters, Joe Gloria! Join us Tuesday, June 2 at 4:00PM on the [ [link removed] ]Let
Nevadans Vote Facebook page to tune in. Joe will help answer your
questions about voting by mail and how our primary election process is
working in 2020.
I hope you found these resources helpful! If you’ve already voted, share
them with a friend or family member in need. Remember, our democracy
depends on each of us making our voices heard.
See you in June,
Will Pregman
