Hi John,
Marc here. Did you watch Trump’s Joint Address to Congress? If you didn’t, I don’t blame you, because, honestly, it was as bad as I expected.
If you tuned in, you saw it firsthand: the man has no interest in lowering prices, no plan to improve life for Texas families—just ninety minutes of scapegoating, lies, and bulls***. Instead of addressing the challenges of rising costs, co-President Trump used his platform to attack working-class Americans, prop up President Elon Musk’s government power grab, and announce his plan for a Trump Tax.
This wasn’t just another unhinged Trump speech. It was a preview of what’s to come: unchecked power, with no one in his party willing—or even interested—in holding him accountable. And if there’s one thing we learned from last time, it’s that when Trump is surrounded by yes men, the worst-case scenario always becomes a reality.
That’s why we have to take back the House. A Democratic majority is the only thing that can stand between Trump and his ability to make life harder for working families while lining his pockets and the pockets of his billionaire backers. (Did you notice he had nothing to say about Musk’s plan to gut Medicaid? Yeah. That’s not an accident.)
We don’t need to flip dozens of seats. Just a handful of competitive districts could make all the difference in 2026. But that only happens if we start laying the groundwork now. If you’re with me, I’d be grateful if you could pitch in $5 or $10 today. [[link removed]]

Growing up in Fort Worth’s historic Como neighborhood, I used to dream about opportunities that would allow me a chance to experience things that filled my imagination; about American heroes and fascinating places in our country. I dreamed that I could one day make a difference in the lives of my friends and neighbors. It was that simple goal that eventually led me to Washington and the halls of Congress.
For over a decade, I have been humbled by the ongoing support and encouragement of the community that raised me. Today, I’m asking for it again.
