John,
Last night, Donald Trump addressed Congress and the country.
Instead of sharing concrete plans for lowering costs for families who have to choose between health care or putting food on the table, Trump ranted for almost 100 minutes spreading hate, cruelty, and xenophobia.
Trump and Musk are attempting to destroy the Constitution, incite political violence, reward corruption and rewrite history. We cannot get complacent or allow this to become normal.
At the same time, the NRCC has issued guidance for their members to hide from Americans hurt by this administration by cancelling in person town halls:
The only shot we have of getting the government we need will be when Republicans fear their constituents more than they fear Trump.
We’re mobilizing Texans in every corner of the state to hold their representatives’ feet to the fire, register to vote, and show up on election day to protect democracy. This is a crucial moment to prove that Texas won’t stand for Trump’s hateful agenda, but it takes resources.
Thank you,
