Suspected cartel scouts and a foot guide working for the notorious Los Memos transnational criminal group were apprehended after illegally crossing into our state. These criminals weren’t just crossing the border - they were scouting and plotting, using high-tech surveillance devices to monitor our every move. One of these criminals, a foot guide working for Cártel de Sinaloa, was arrested near Pisinemo Village on the Tohono O'odham Nation reservation. He was helping cartels bring even more criminals and human traffickers into our state. This is a direct threat to our safety, our families, and our future. But it doesn’t stop there. Border Patrol is seizing communication and observation devices from these criminals. They’re watching us, listening to us, and planning their next move while our current leaders sit idly by.
