Friend — communities across the nation are reeling from the last week. Over the last 15 hours, we’ve seen the pain and anger of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and so many other murders pour from protest to riots. We are all hurting and looking for ways to begin the healing.

There are so many local organizations that are doing important work to support communities of color during this painful time. We would love your help uplifting these causes.

We encourage folks to donate to We Love Lake Street, an organization focused on helping small businesses and nonprofits in the Lake Street community rebuild their storefronts and serve their neighborhoods. A majority of businesses in the Lake Street community are owned by immigrants and people of color.

We also want to direct people to contribute to Minnesota Voice. This organization is committed to working toward racial, social, and economic justice by increasing civic engagement in underrepresented communities across Minnesota.
