LA County Prepares for Upcoming Storms
LA County Public Works is closely monitoring a series of storm systems forecasted to bring light to moderate rainfall to the region through Friday. With light to moderate rain and mountain snow likely—as well as a slight chance of thunderstorms—small, isolated debris and mudflows are possible in recent burn areas. Crisis Counseling Assistance
If you are feeling emotionally overwhelmed, you are not alone. Help is available for disaster survivors experiencing emotional distress following the wildfires. If you or a loved one is experiencing mental health distress related to the wildfires, do not hesitate to reach out for mental health support and resources 24/7. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has completed debris removal on the first residential property to undergo Phase 2 cleanup operations. Read more here [ [link removed] ].

*For those who opt-out:* Property owners who choose to hire private contractors for fire debris removal can now receive a permit that allows home and business owners and their authorized private contractors to manage their own debris removal efforts while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental standards.

Upcoming Deadlines
Apply For Federal Assistance Before Monday, March 10
Homeowners, renters and businesses impacted by the wildfires have less than one week to apply for federal disaster assistance. *Monday, March 10* is the deadline to apply for both FEMA disaster assistance [ [link removed] ] and a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) low-interest disaster loan [ [link removed] ].

Financial Help Through the LA County Household Relief Grant
If your home was affected by the Eaton and Palisades fires or recent windstorms, you may qualify for immediate financial assistance through the LA County Household Relief Grant. This program provides essential support to impacted households for unmet needs not covered by other forms of assistance.

Apply for Small Business and Worker Relief Funds
Small businesses and nonprofits impacted by the recent wind and wildfire disaster are eligible to apply for the *LA Region Small Business and Worker Relief Funds before the deadline on Wednesday, March 12*.
* *Small Business Relief Fund:* Offers cash assistance grants up to $25,000 for small businesses and nonprofits that suffered structural damage, equipment or inventory loss, or revenue loss due to the disaster.
* *Worker Relief Fund:* Provides cash assistance grants up to $2,000 for workers who lost employment or income because of the disaster.

Free Medical and Mental Health Clinic in Pasadena
The Eaton Health Village, in partnership with the Department of Mental Health, is providing free medical and mental health care every Monday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pasadena Seventh-Day Adventist Church (1280 E. Washington Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91104).
