The Lincoln Project

Friend,

Yawn.

Trump orchestrating Wall Street’s worst day of 2025 wasn’t the only milestone he achieved yesterday. He now also holds the title for the longest State of the Union address in American history.

Good for him. This is definitely the biggest accomplishment of his presidency so far.

If you didn’t watch this snooze fest, don’t worry about it. You really and truly didn’t miss much. It was kind of like one of his rallies. The old man got up there, orange as ever, and screamed into a microphone while JD Vance and Mike Johnson stared into space as many attendees left the speech early.

However, as with any Trump event, the lies were flying. And as with any Trump event, we want to expose them. Here are a few of our favorites:

  • DOGE has eliminated hundreds of BILLIONS in fraud. Come on. Trump doesn’t even have proof that DOGE has saved the federal government $1 billion. He also said the feds are spending too much on transgender mice? That’s a new one.
  • Trump’s tariffs on China have brought in TRILLIONS of dollars. Economists say that Trump’s tariffs didn’t even lead to a net positive for the US economy. In other words, the tariffs worked like Trump’s businesses. They created a net loss. Check up on that stock market, folks.
  • Lots of people over 120 years old are getting Social Security payments. Trump’s own social security head already said this is total BS. This is probably something Trump saw on Mike Lindell’s “news” channel.

And to recap the rest of the speech, he essentially blamed President Biden for the bad stuff and fabricated a bunch of good stuff. He went on national television to mislead the American people and mask his complete and total chaos as progress. We can’t let him get away with this.

Conmen like Donald Trump deserve to be exposed. And that’s exactly what we’re on a mission to do. Help us make sure voters know the REAL state of our union >>
