Last night, Donald Trump delivered one of the most divisive, unhinged, and combative addresses to Congress in modern history.

Instead of offering real solutions for everyday working Americans, he doubled down on tariffs that will hurt Pennsylvania farmers, pushed dangerous cuts to essential services, and boasted about gutting the very agencies meant to protect our health and environment.

Democrats stood strong — calling out his lies in real-time and refusing to applaud his reckless agenda. But Trump made it clear: he’s ready to yank support that millions of people rely on and ignore the harmful impacts of climate change just to appease his wealthy donors. [1]

That’s why we must fight back, Friend.

Pennsylvania must continue to be a firewall against Trump’s reckless agenda. With Governor Shapiro and the pro-environment majority in the State House, we have the power to protect PA communities — but only if we have the resources to mobilize voters and hold our decision makers accountable.

We are $530 away from our goal of raising $1,500 to fuel our fight. Can you pitch in $5.00 today to stop Trump’s and his billionaire cronies’ dangerous policies in their tracks? [link removed]

Hi Friend –

Tonight, Donald Trump will make his joint address to Congress where we can bet he will try to justify the disastrous and harmful actions he’s taken, like the announcement just days ago that the EPA will reject the proven science that greenhouse gases are harmful to human health and welfare. [2]

There’s no denying the harms caused by climate change. But Trump and his billionaire pal Elon Musk are willing to let wildfires, floods, and storms continue to claim lives and destroy entire communities all to enrich their wealthy donors.

In these dark times, Pennsylvania must be the light.

We are working alongside Governor Shapiro and the pro-environment majority in the State House to hold the line against Trump’s recklessness. But we can’t do it without you. Can you pitch in $5.00 to stand up to Trump’s destructive and divisive agenda that puts Pennsylvania’s environment and communities at risk? [link removed]

Between Project 2025, the unconstitutional cutbacks of critical civil servants, and the looming budget battle, this administration threatens the very fabric of our democracy and the future of our country.

And Pennsylvanians are already feeling the harm: shuttered child care programs, struggling community health centers, and farmers watching their debts pile up while the administration withholds resources they were promised. Meanwhile, Trump and his billionaire cronies are gutting checks and balances, disregarding the law, and putting essential benefits on the chopping block.

We must fight back.

For 15 years, CVPA has fought to hold leaders accountable, build political power, and ensure our government works for the people — not corporate polluters and the ultra-wealthy.

By electing pro-environment leaders, advocating for just, clean energy policies, and mobilizing voters across the Commonwealth, we are fighting back against an administration intent on rolling back progress. Your support today ensures we have the resources to train community leaders, build relationships with key decision-makers, and activate Pennsylvanians to speak out and take action when it matters most.

In the face of Trump’s threats, we’re asking you to take action now. Help us reach our goal of raising $1,500 before Tuesday by making a gift of $5.00 today: [link removed]

Every dollar fuels our fight against those who seek to undermine environmental protections and jeopardize the future of our children and grandchildren.

Thank you for all you do.
