John, I am livid.

When President Trump’s Counselor Alina Habba was asked about military veterans affected by the DOGE-led layoffs of federal workers, she said that some of those veterans were “not fit” for government jobs.

Not fit? John, I know lots of veterans with a “government job.”

They wore our country’s uniform, in peace and war. They’re my brothers and sisters: I proudly served our country at sea and in Iraq, and now I serve in Congress.

I served this country to defend the freedoms and liberties we hold so dear—and today, I fight for those very same freedoms in Congress.

Donald Trump and his team should be ashamed. But let’s be real—they won’t be. They don’t respect service. They don’t respect sacrifice. And they sure as hell don’t respect people like us in Western PA who believe deeply in stepping up to wear the uniform.

I will never stop fighting for this country, for my fellow veterans, and for the freedoms that hacks like Habba are trying to tear down. I’ll fight like hell to protect your jobs, your rights, and our democracy.
