Team, I sat through Trump’s speech so you don’t have to. Here’s what happened:

Trump covered a lot of ground — and he got almost all of it wrong.

Trump said America’s momentum is back. Tell that to the people depending on Social Security to pay the bills.

He said the American dream is surging like never before. Tell that to the next generation of Americans: young people who think they might never be able to afford their own home.

He said he’s working hard to bring prices down — and, what? What is his administration doing (seriously) to lower prices? Everything they’ve done is driving prices up. His pointless tariffs and trade wars are raising costs for families, and he’s going after health care and food assistance for seniors and people who already struggle to make ends meet.

He’s attacking the CHIPS Act, which kicked off hundreds of billions of dollars in private investment, created thousands of jobs in Republican and Democratic states alike, and reinvigorated American manufacturing.

Donald Trump won the presidential election last year, and I accept that. But he won by telling the American people that his top priority was going to be lowering costs. I don’t think anyone, if they’re looking at this in good faith, would say that priority number one for this administration is making things more affordable for working families and the middle class. It’s closer to the opposite.

It’s just not serious. So, I’ve got two goals over the next two years:

First, to force the Trump Administration to back off of the harm it is inflicting and defend the American people whenever and however I can — and take actions that will actually lower costs. Second, to elect the next generation of leaders in the House, the Senate, and here in Arizona.

To accomplish each of those I’m going to need a lot of help. So, if I can count on you, please:

Make a donation — anything you can afford — to my campaign.
