He could have extended an olive branch to the allies he’s alienated — both domestically and abroad.
He could have acknowledged that the actions he and Elon Musk have taken over the last six weeks have hurt millions of Americans and will hurt countless more.
Instead, he doubled down.
He called his achievements “astronomical” and referred to the early days of his presidency as some of the most successful ever. But we know the truth — and we’re ready to fight back.
