Tell Betsy DeVos:
STOP seizing workers’ wages during this pandemic! >>>[link removed]

Friend,

In the midst of a pandemic, our country is in unprecedented economic turmoil. But apparently, the Department of Education, under Betsy DeVos, thinks it’s a good idea to keep garnishing the wages of student loan borrowers. Let’s push back.

DeVos’ department is continuing to seize paychecks from more than 50,000 workers who have fallen behind on student loans during this pandemic. And now they are being sued for it.

But this is just the latest in a series of out of touch and unscrupulous actions that this Department of Education has taken since this crisis began.

They've also served up over $1 billion in taxpayer money to for-profit colleges, and dragged their feet in opening applications for the CARES Act’s education relief funds. Sign our petition to ask DeVos’ Department of Education to immediately end these unfair practices!

Right now, many student loan borrowers are already worried about affording rent, groceries, medication and other necessities. If they lose a part of each paycheck to garnishments, it could be enough to push them into truly dire circumstances.

Friend, this is wrong. Will you add your name to join us in telling Betsy DeVos: STOP seizing student loan borrowers’ wages and end other unfair practices during this pandemic?
