Evers Slams President Trump and Trump Administration’s Continued Attacks on Veterans* "New report indicates Trump Administration is set to cut 80,000 jobs from Veterans Affairs" MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today slammed new plans [ [link removed] ] by President Donald Trump and the Trump Administration to cut as many as 80,000 employees from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, which comes as President Trump and the Trump Administration have already fired [ [link removed] ] nearly 6,000 veterans—reportedly more than any U.S. president [ [link removed] ] in American history.
“What a disgrace to our veterans and their families, their service, and their sacrifices. President Trump and the Trump Administration have already fired thousands of our nation’s heroes—now he’s set to fire even more and cut tens of thousands of jobs that help serve veterans every day across our country. It’s outrageous,” said Gov. Evers. “This is a betrayal of the promise we make as a country to protect, defend, and support the veterans who’ve protected, defended, and supported us.”
Gov.
